Gildemeister Event Photography - North Powder Threshing Bee
North Powder Threshing Bee
Located on the Old Oregon Trail Route, North Powder , Oregon shares a rich history of pioneer life and development in Northeast Oregon. Local residents continue to celebrate their heritage and history with an annual parade and festival. For several years, they hosted the North Powder Threshing Bee, showcasing turn-of-the-century steam-powered engines. More recently, the town celebrates its heritage with an annual Huckleberry Feastival and the Oregon Trail Auto Show. Following is a sampling of images taken by Gildemeister during the 1974 and 1979 celebrations along with some early-day views of the town.
